We think the buying is a sign that a deal is about to take place. KLY has repeatedly stated that it is in discussions with multiple potential partners, including in news release from a few days ago:
"Kalytera is continuing discussions with potential corporate partners for its GVHD program, as it begins planning and preparation for Phase 3 clinical testing of its CBD product in prevention of acute GVHD."
Kalytera is in a great position to get caught up in a bidding war. The company released its Phase 2 results for CBD to treat GVHD over the summer. The trial went so well that the company is cancelling the rest of it and going ahead with its Phase 3.
